about the artist

"my work has always been an exploration into the inner realm, a commentary on human nature and the mysteries that surround us; mysteries of the spirits that live here with us, mysteries of the land around us along with our histories that have unfolded here, and the mysteries residing within my own soul. This journey into the depths of the less-than-known parts of life has lead me down a path of painting symbolic images of both human and more-than-human subjects. 

Through my work I am constantly reminded of the deep truths to be discovered within a dedicated practice. As i deepen my practice of painting, I continue to find more layers and always come to the same conclusion. We are all intensely connected to the land and the stars - our destinies intertwined in a beautiful, sensual, unusually awesome tapestry of experiences.

I paint to give these stories a voice, and to awaken within the viewer a sense of wonder and whimsy about the reality that surround us."
